Early Birthday

Hello

Not having a very good day, but I'll try to be as cheerful as I can for this post.

Anyways, at the end of my module today (23/04/2014), Evangeline and I went to meet up with our dear leader, Xin Ye ^___^

You guys remember her from my previous posts don't you? She's one leader that I greatly admire hahaha. Although she's blur at times, or she can be quite a clown, she never fails to cheer my clique up ^^

#1 Evan and I. Meh. I let down my hair after this photo was shot haha

Anyways, so we met up with her at Somerset, where she brought us to this awesome place called Eighteen Chefs.

I don't know if you guys have read or heard about it before, but apparently it's run by ex-convicts? I'm not too sure.

Who cares though! The food is SCRUMPTIOUS. Plus all of the staffs there are mighty friendly! In fact, we wanted to take selcas and a staff wanted to help us take! See! So helpful!

Anyways, we were still students so we decided to get the student specials~

$6.40 for Baked rice, Ice Lemon tea and Ice cream?! I'm sold.

Ice lemon tea. Ugh so freaking good. The type of lemon tea I personally love is when the flavours of the tea and lemon meld together, so that you get this burst of tangy and sweet. This tea does it all T___T

Anyways, while waiting for ze main course, we decided to take some selcas, or selfies, as some of you call it. (I call it selca and it's staying that way)

I swear my hair was not being nice to me today T_T Sianballs.
Anyways, at this point, the staff told us that if we wanted to, we could request for one of the staff to take a photo for us and they would gladly do it. Aw man! Where can find this kind of nice service?!

Then, our food arrived~

Cheesy baked rice~~ (I wrote the cheesy as chesty just now OTL) Anyways, we three ordered very different kinds of baked rice.

Me: Japanese Curry Baked Rice
Evan: Creamy White Baked Rice
Xin Ye: Spicy Tomato Baked Rice

MINE WAS DERICIOUS. OMG. SO SO GOOD. I personally love Japanese curry alot so like.. Japanese curry + Baked rice was abit.. of an odd combination to me at first. But after trying it... oh man. So good.

Xin Ye's one was really good too, albeit abit too spicy for me hahahaha. I didn't try Evan's one though, so I can't make the judgement for you. But I highly recommend the Japanese curry one! The spiciness is just right, and the curry makes the rice so moist and flavourful!

Anyways, after we ate finish (we didn't finish it sorry Eighteen Chefs! It was really good but we got full quite quickly), we decided to.. yes, spam selcas again. HEY! We hardly meet up okays! This is a very rare occasion!

Then, our ice creams arrived! ICE CREAMMMMMM

You guys know I'm a sucker for dessert right?

Okay, first glance and first smell, I was pretty sure it was mango ice cream. I was kinda disappointed, cuz I don't particularly love mango ice cream, like I do like it la, but not to a large extent.

However, when I tried it....

IT WAS CORN.

I think.

I don't know what it was but it had that distinct corn flavour that made it so so good. Evan said it's mango and corn HAHAHA that is one weird combination though.

Anyways, we ate our desserts, said our goodbyes to Eighteen Chefs, and decided to head home.

Well of course, being a special day, we spammed selcas... again.
