Hey all! Sorry I haven't been updating! But I just had my prelims! :O my N levels are like a month away, so I have to kinda study harder T^T. Anyways, Last week on Sunday, after my church, I went over to my best friend, Evangeline's church! Her youth is a chinese youth and thus a new experience for me as I had never been to a full chinese church before. Queen of Peace, which is my church, is a chinese church too! Just more on the English side. Anywho, I went over to her church to make Kfood! aka Korean food! So, we went to her church at around... 1.30pm? Yuppo. Her friend, I think Siva? Lawl. Drove us to her church. It was scary. The car ride was freaking fast. Anyways, we reached her church, Evan introduced me to her church friends and we sang some songs, and then got started!

Ingredients for Dubokki and Kimbap!
|
Okay, so far, the ingredients for Dubokki is this:
-Gojuchang Paste
-Dubokki (Rice Cakes)
-Salt
-Sugar
-Carrots
-Onions
-Garlic
And for the Kimbap:
-Ghim (Seaweed)
-Rice
-Preserved ginger
-Crabstick
-Kimchi
-Sesame Oil
-Ham/Spam
-Japanese cucumber
Okay? Okay. Then, we got started and we ran into a few problems. The portable stove wouldn't start, so we had to use the rice cooker to cook the dubboki, which was beforehand cooked in a pot and became very.. watery.

As you all can see. So we tried to scoop the water out. Which filled at least 4 bowls lawl. So while waiting for the guys to figure things out, Me and Evan, decided to camwhore abit
At this point of time, it was already like.. 4.45? So I kinda asked the korean unnies, if we could just make the kimbap without the egg. They insisted on frying the ham and cucumber -.- So I told them its okay and we can just eat it like that. So we got started to making the kimbap while the dubokki cooks.
Okay. First thing you gotta do is place the ghim, or seaweed onto the wooden mat, then place a thin layer of rice and leave at least 3 quarters of the ghim free of rice. On the rice, you place the preserved ginger, ham, crabstick, cucumber and kimchi. Then, you lift the mat and on the first roll, cover all the ingredients and squeeze the rolled part together. Then, roll one more time and squeeze it again. Then, brush the top part of the ghim with sesame oil and cut away!
It was REALLY GOOD. I'm not even kidding. But the time we were done with raping and eating around 5-6 rolls of kimbap, the dubboki was done.
Omg. It was so good as well. The liquid boiled down to like, condensed flavouring it was so so good. Omg. Then, Evan's friend sent me home and I slept the whole day hahahaha. Will blog soon! Annyeong!
P.S. Infinite has like this tour thing and are selling their concert goods!
