N Levels

I decided to write a proper blog post since N levels are already over. Plus, my friend came to see my blog and she was like..

Sabrina: Wah. Your blog like promoting food like that sia.

-.-

So, I decide to write a proper blog post lo.

Anyways, during the N level days, I had to admit that it really was no piece of cake. 1 week study leave is equivalent 1 day of studying. Honestly, you just have no time. Thus, my whole 1 week study leave is spent on either going to the library at 10 am in the morning or the airport, just to study. If you manage to plan your time well, then I'm sure it's no problem la. But Singaporean teens nowadays are just plain lazy, I am one myself. So it doesn't really contradict. Plus, those days of studying were pretty harsh too. I remember one day in the library this woman in a red shirt and white shorts started making a commotion in the library, stating that there were these group of boys making a huge amount of noise and just irritating her. Little did she know...

Nvm. Okay. Another one is in the airport. I usually study with at least 1 or 2 friends, cuz I really cannot concentrate. We usually study at Carl's Junior. I remembered getting chased out of Carl's, Souperlicious and Starbucks during that week of study leave, only to study at the Staff canteen, which I had to admit, I really couldn't concentrate there.

Anyways, I would just wanna give a few tips to those taking Os. I know I'm not taking them, but I'm just stating what I think.

1. During your study leave, try not to study too much. Trust me, your brain has a capacity limit. You don't wanna overload and faint or get sick. Try to study for at least 3-4 hours, then take a break. Go have lunch or just walk around with your friend.

2. Try not to worry over your grades too much. You will tend to get even more nervous and it subjects you to losing parts of what you have studied. Before the exam, take deep breaths or be very optimistic.

3. Don't ever sport topics. It is the worst thing anyone can do. My friend did that and the topics that she studied didn't even come out for the paper. So please don't try it.

4. Sometimes it's best to lower your pride and ask someone if you don't know the questions. Some of you may think this is kinda ridiculous. But trust me, I know a few people who can't let anyone teach them or help them out. I'm one of them.

5. Lastly, I don't know if this works, but it did for me. Just be happy.

Good luck for those taking Os in a few more days. You all can do it. I know you can! I'm just gonna name a few names, especially those who helped me during the study leave.

Cordell, Desiree, Eliza, Shi Yen, Jeremiah, Kim Siong, Leo, Ian Fang, Irinie
