Seoul II: Day 5

Wassup people! Did you miss me? Sorry I haven't been updating the blog. The semester has started and it has been really exhausting, but a whole new experience as well!

Anyways, enough with that, let's move on to Day 5 shall we?

So, we woke up to an announcement being made on the intercom in the apartment wtf. That day was filled with grey skies on Day 5 as it was raining. Hence, that particular day was bloody cold. It was about... 14 degrees Celsius?

Chulin and I woke up again at the same time but this time we decided to roll around the futon for about half an hour, hence starting our day off quite late.

Anyways, we woke Bernice and Ashleigh up before making our way down..

THE FLOOR WAS BLOODY HOT.

Omg the floor heater was spoilt or something which was why the stupid floor was burning up, I presume the announcement was made because of this situation, otherwise it was Bernice's fault cuz she knocked down the heater control twice.


Anyways, we hopped around quickly to shower and get ready...

AND THERE WAS NO HOT WATER.

This day was either the worst or best day of our lives man.

1. While waiting for the rest to finish

I realised that I looked a little too pale for the day so I added a touch of lip tint.

Btw, I just wanted to say that we grabbed the umbrella before we left but when we opened it....

..There was a hole in the umbrella. Sigh.

It was a really rainy day that day, but that didn't stop us from going to Edae!

Anyways, took the subway to Ewha Women's University and came out of Exit #3! There wasn't much to do since it was drizzling, so we opted to just walk around and find a cafe to sit in to escape the rain for the time being since the rain was just making us moody.

Walked around and spotted a Cat Cafe! Chulin kinda squealed and begged us to eat there. Honestly, we only appeased her cuz her birthday was the next day wtf.

I'm kidding.

4. This 고양이 jumped right on our table to sniff our bags while we ordered food

5. Hehehehehe so cuteeeeeeeeee

Anyways our food took like... an incredibly long time to prepare since there were only one person working the counter and the kitchen simultaneously, so I'm not gonna be picky about the waiting time.

6. Bought kiwi ice shake to accompany the food. It was alright.

7. Took a selca since none of the cats bothered us after our drinks arrived.

Didn't take photos of the food as it was one of the worst food I ever ate in Seoul wtf.

The chunks of meat were like frozen and it was just overall unpleasant la. But then again, the cafe's purpose is to hang out with the cats so.....

But my money wtf.

Okay nvm, we left the cafe and I think it was only a light drizzle by that time, so our moods perked up and we went shopping for awhile.

Chulin die die wanted to get me to buy some clothes because by day 5 I had only bought socks wtf.

So I bought like.... a top? Yeah, I bought one top wtf.

Anyways, we got hungry again after walking around for about 2 hours, and by then it was already 2pm, so we decided to go eat lunch.

AND OF COURSE WE HAD TO GO FOR KOREAN STYLE PIZZA. 

Went to Mr Pizza's and ordered a red wine steak pizza with a hashbrown crust.

HASBROWN CRUST GUYS. WHICH GENIUS THOUGHT OF THIS, I LOVE YOU FOR COMING UP WITH THIS.

The only sad thing about this pizza is that before the crust they put in blueberry jam?? so it was kinda overpowering sweet. But other than that, I give a thumbs up for the crust and the pizza.

Maybe we found this nice cuz of the shitty cat cafe food wtf. Oops.

Anyways, after that, Ash, Bern and I started to put our plan into action. Because we were going back to Myeongdong as Ash wanted to go Stylenanda's.

So, I told Chuls that I need to buy her birthday present, so we split ways at Myeongdong. Ash + Chuls, Bern and I. 

While hunting for her present, we went to buy her birthday cake as well, you'll see it later on in the blogpost but omg. The name for it though wtf. Saying it in English sounds silly enough, imagine saying it in Korean.

I think it was called Watchu Want in a Cube. And it literally translates into that in korean as well. 

Anyways, Bern and I rushed back to Samgakji and like legit ran all the way there because Ash and Chuls were supposed to meet us back at the Tom and Toms near the apartment. 

Okay, actually, I kinda pang-sehed Bern with the cake and ran by myself wtf.

It was fucking cold just imagine running in like 11 degrees Celsius weather while still looking out for signs of the birthday girl omg.

10. Not to mention, look at what the hell I'm wearing

Anyways, I reached, told some stupid lie about Bern being in the apartment and shitting herself silly cuz of diarrhoea and didn't want us to be in the apartment. 

Ugh, will never forget that day.

Bern finally arrived after hiding the cake and we proceeded to go find dinner near the apartment.

Went for good old Gamjatang! Ugh I miss it so so so much now I'm seriously craving for it.

The banchan we got! I went to do the most evil thing on Earth cuz I made each of us take a gochu, which is a hot chilli pepper (The long green penis chilli in the photo) and take a bite out of it. Cuz you see, some gochus are mega spicy while some are pretty mild, so I kinda wanted to test it out.

Apparently Chulin and Ash got the spicy one while Bern and mine had no kick at all WAHAHAHAHAHA.

Ughhhh just look at it. The meat that were stewed in the Gamjatang is legit falling off the bone tender. The stew was perfect for such a chilly weather.

Thank you guys for coming to Seoul with me and tolerating my nonsense.

And Happy Birthday to the idiot that acts as the glue of the group, cuz you keep us all together everytime.

Went back to the apartment and Chuls went to shower first cuz she usually takes the longest and it was coming to midnight, which meant her birthday.

So we took the cake out, placed her nokcha macaron next to it and off-ed the lights.

I'm not gonna post the video up here because well... she was only wearing her bra wtf.

Anyways, we ate the cake, smashed the cake onto Bern's face, and decided to do facial after that wtf.

That marks the end of Day 5! Wasn't much to be honest, because it was such a lazy day, but I promise Day 6 is way more fun, too much fun in fact hahaha.
