Hey all! I finally got down to blogging, in a long while.
I promise the Taiwan trip will be posted soon okay, I just lost my muse at the moment.
Anyways, I had the opportunity to have my hair done by J&J Hair Identity Salon!
In case you guys weren't updated, I dyed my hair purple at a pretty well-known hair salon.

Unfortunately, the colour faded after like... 2 weeks???? And it slightly damaged the ends of my hair as I went for a more ombre look.
As you can see in the photos, the purple was already starting to fade wtf.
Pissed as I was, I couldn't do anything about it cuz it was bloody expensive. I decided to just wait it out and chop it off after it grew.
In fact, I hated the ends so much that I tied my hair most of the time cuz it was so dry and knotted.

J&J Hair Identity came into the picture and offered to colour my hair using a special formula dye.
Anyways, I headed for my appointment around 12pm.

J&J Hair Identity Hair Salon is a hair salon in Singapore located at Katong Square Level 2, which is just next to I12 Katong Shopping Centre.
It was pretty quiet around the area, and I was able to take a few photos of the salon before heading for my appointment.

Honestly I felt abit awkward cuz I arrived real freaking early, so I just sat at the chair and daydreamed for about 5 minutes before the stylist, Jac approached me.

This means that the formula will not strip too much of your hair's moisture and it provides a more gentle hair dyeing experience.
Natulique's hair colour range is also more neutral and toned down compared to other types of hair dye formulas, but that ensures that you have a healthier dyeing experience.
I've had a few experiences with dyeing my hair and I HATE IT wtf. The moment the dye gets on your scalp it's like a full on stinging sensation that lasts for almost 15 - 30 minutes.
Anyways, on to the colour! I originally wanted a dark ashy colour, but Jac commented that ash colours requires at least 5 times of bleaching and I'm like... no thanks wtf.
So he recommended me Ice Light Brown, which has a more olive-green hue to it, also, he recommended to keep the ombre effect... Well, I let the expert do the work while I just nodded wtf.

I forgot to take a photo, but the salon also provided ear cups...? to protect your ears from the dyeing process.
Let's start!
 |
#15 |
The salon pre-lightened the ends of my hair in order to ensure the colour comes out, especially since I dyed a more reddish tone before, hence Jac recommended that I pre-lighten to ensure most of the reddish hues are drawn out.
 |
#16 |
I waited for about... 45 minutes? before we proceeded to washing.
 |
#17 I'm sorry I was bored |
After the wash my hair was... ohmygod. It was dry beyond repair, but you know, I don't like to doubt people till the end results, so I just patiently waited.
After about 5 minutes, Jac proceeded to dye my entire hair with the Natulique hair dye formula.

Comparing from past dyeing experiences, it definitely had less of a stinging sensation on the scalp, prolly just a slight sting if you're more sensitive to pain. I would say it definitely felt better, it didn't feel as if it was burning my scalp off.

Anyways, after stoning for about half an hour, it was time to wash! Had a quick 15 minute hair treatment to make my hair a little more manageable after the dyeing process and had a quick dry and styling.
End result?

I LOVE IT WTF.
I normally don't get attached to hair colours that easily but wtf I love this one. It has a greyish, brownish hue to the ends that really makes the colour look more ashy. Wtf man good job Jac it's amazing.
I refused to show my face because I absolutely look horrendous in curls, hence I decided to wait it out for a day and wait for the curls to drop back to my straight ass hair wtf.
This was the result:

I went to work in that hairstyle and damn it remained pretty smooth throughout.

This close up sucks but you can see the greyish brownish tone to it omgomg I'm in love wtf.
However, this was the day that I didn't wash my hair after the hair dye, hence it's not really a fair comparison on the state of my hair I guess?
So I washed my hair the next day and...

Still pretty good. I would say it's still pretty dry at the ends, but nothing a little conditioner and good shampoo will fix. I recommended using a dark coloured shampoo to help ensure the colour stays on longer.
I also recommend using hair masks and hair essences instead as it helps restore moisture back to your hair, especially the ends.
I'm currently using the hair essence and hair masks from Etude House which does help alot!
I definitely recommended this salon to you guys! I suggest you do book an
appointment to secure your slot first before going to the hair salon.
